It is finally here! The first in-person industry trade show in over 18-months. After the HIMSS20 cancellation, and the postponement of the 2021 conference until August of this year, the industry will descend on Las Vegas next week for HIMSS21, with proof of vaccination and masks of course.
For the first time this year, HIMSS will feature a new campus that will host coordinated activities all week within three buildings: the newly expanded Wynn meeting space, the Venetian-Sands Expo Center, and the newly built Caesars Forum Conference Center. Caesars Forum Conference Center will be connected via a sky bridge to the Venetian-Sands Expo Center for easy access from one building into the other. Round-robin shuttles will also be continuously available to shuttle attendees comfortably and efficiently from one location to another.
HIMSS21 will present highly vetted education sessions—available for continuing education credits—within 17 topic categories including cybersecurity, change management, data and analytics, telehealth, pandemic response, and more.
The Optimum Team will be on-site to meet with our clients and potential clients to not only discuss what we do, but also learn more about what they do and their evolving needs. If you are interested in meeting with Optimum, please contact your client services representative or please contact us today by sending an email to himss@optimumhit.com.
On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 11:15 AM, Optimum will host a Lunch and Learn entitled Innovative Approaches to Building Your Healthcare IT Workforce. During this Lunch and Learn about the Optimum CareerPath Program, we will discuss the next-generation talent management challenges healthcare organizations face, such as the skills gap causing organizations to struggle to fill positions and the drive to build more diverse and inclusive teams. Healthcare technology has been front and center throughout the pandemic response, and continuing to build talented, engaged, and diverse IT teams is a must to support your organization and execute on key strategic initiatives.
We will share Optimum CareerPath’s in-depth training model during the presentation, which includes technical and soft skills, a co-developed digital health curriculum in partnership with CHIME, and real-world experiences and statistics to demonstrate how effective the program is in helping organizations overcome talent management challenges. If you are a hospital executive, please join us by registering here.
As a reminder, HIMSS has launched the HIMSS21 Health and Safety Hub, where they provide their first detailed health and safety guidance and will provide ongoing updates. Please visit the link to get information on:
- Right of entry protocols (including a vaccination requirement)
- Additional on-site health and safety measures
We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas. Travel safely.
