Clearsense, a smart data organization that enables healthcare organizations to realize measurable value from their data, announced today that Michael Hyder, MD, MPH will join the organization to serve as its President. His appointment brings twenty years of experience in building and leading highly motivated and competent teams to deliver exceptional contemporary, patient-centered care. In his new role, Dr. Hyder will execute on a leadership vision that is consistent with Clearsense’s mission to affect healthcare providers in a very positive way through data science solutions that provide clearer insights into care delivery and decision-making.
Dr. Hyder joins Clearsense after many years of serving in multiple senior executive roles within complex, clinically integrated health systems that have focused on clinical transformation and data-driven outcomes. As Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer, he provided the strategic clinical vision to bridge the gap between information technology and clinical medicine. He led teams to implement large-scale core enterprise IT systems as well as architected and organized extensive clinical governance structures to drive key quality, strategic and financial initiatives. As Chief Medical Officer for a large multi-specialty physician group, he oversaw the medical management and clinical integration functions including capacity planning, referral management, and clinical utilization, as well as, continuous quality improvement and patient experience programs. As Chief Medical Officer for a regional Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Dr. Hyder led key executives to execute an operational plan that transformed a regional health system to become clinically and financially successful with value-based, patient, focused care.

Dr. Hyder continues to practice Cardiac Electrophysiology in New England. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
Additionally, Dr. Hyder will serve as Executive Vice President of Health Care Delivery for Optimum Healthcare IT where he will collaborate with stakeholders and leaders within healthcare delivery systems to provide durable transformative solutions to a multitude of contemporary challenges.
