Appoints Emily Mailes as EVP and Tracy Pearce as VP to Support Regional Growth
Optimum Healthcare IT, a Best in KLAS healthcare digital transformation and IT services firm, today announced its expansion into the Australian market, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global growth strategy. To lead this expansion, Optimum has appointed Emily Mailes as Executive Vice President and Tracy Pearce as Vice President of Australia Operations.
After providing the first virtual and international Epic go-live support in Australia in 2020, Optimum is expanding its footprint across the region with new offices and a broad portfolio of services. Optimum is partnering with a growing number of Australian healthcare organisations to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives, delivering proven expertise across the full digital lifecycle, from strategy, implementation, and go-live through to managing ongoing EMR and IT operations.
”Our expansion into Australia reflects both the global demand for experienced healthcare IT partners and the strength of our delivery model. Healthcare organizations around the world are navigating complex digital transformations. We are proud to bring our deep expertise, proven methodology, and people-first approach to support providers across Australia.
Jason Mabry, President, Optimum Healthcare IT
Emily Mailes joins Optimum as Executive Vice President, bringing deep experience in healthcare digital strategy, cybersecurity, and large-scale transformation. Most recently, she served as Chief eHealth Strategy Officer and Executive Director at the Victorian Department of Health, where she led statewide cybersecurity operations, digital health strategy, and transformation initiatives. Previously, she held leadership roles at EY, advising global healthcare organizations on complex, enterprise-scale programs. At Optimum, Mailes will lead regional strategy, operations, partnerships, and growth across Australia.
Tracy Pearce joins Optimum as Vice President, bringing 28 years of experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and a clinical background in nursing. She has held senior leadership roles in the public and private sectors in Australia and the UK, leading multidisciplinary teams to drive operational performance and improve patient outcomes. At the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, she was instrumental in the Epic implementation, accountable for training and enablement strategy and delivery. Pearce will lead client delivery across the region, ensuring the successful execution of large-scale transformation programs.
”Australian healthcare organisations are rapidly increasing their digital capability and footprint, and success depends on more than just technology — it requires the right expertise, executed well, and supported by a sustainable operating model. Optimum combines deep healthcare IT expertise across virtually every domain with a resource model designed to scale. Drawing on hundreds of reference engagements and a global pool of more than 7,000 healthcare IT professionals who can be mobilised within days, we can support organisations at any stage of their digital journey. This is a highly specialised capability, purpose‑built for healthcare, delivered at a scale the Australian market has not had access to before.
